Dean worked for HMRC in the finance specialist team of the City of London VAT Office before moving to the private sector where he worked for Moore Stephens prior to joining Deloitte.
During his time with Deloitte, Dean was sector leader of the Land & property, Education and Corporate Finance VAT teams in their London office and acted for a number of large insurance businesses and banks. As a founding partner with Constable VAT, Dean has continued to work in these areas. Dean’s clients range in size from large multi-national businesses to SMEs and his work with Constable VAT covers most business sectors. Dean is known as a pragmatic, commercially focused problem solver. He has a particular talent for logical analysis. He often sees solutions which others have missed and which require no more than a persuasive technical argument to succeed.
Dean is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and sits on the tax committee of the ACCA and the Joint VAT Consultative Committee (JVCC), the forum for high level policy decisions between HMRC and professional and industry representative bodies.
In his spare time, Dean enjoys watching football and is a season ticket holder at Norwich City. He also enjoys fishing, but rarely catches anything!
